I drove up to John O'Groats, stopping along the way at the Cairngorm
ski area in Aviemore. This is my favourite little cafe and was a welcome
refuge after the icy cold outside.
I had to shovel this lot away to get a cuppa. The pathway was like a
skating rink.

My ol' mate, Brian Jewell. We met when we
joined the Navy when we were 15 years old. We did a year's training
together and this is the first time we've seen each other since 1964.
